SUPERMAN, THE ASTROS’ #1 SUPERFAN, DELIVERS A “PIE TRAINER” BLOW TO THE FACE OF PRINCE FIELDER IN THE HOPE THAT IT MAKES THIS CALL TO ACTION OVER THE BALANCE OF THE 2016 SEASON SPECIFICALLY CLEAR TO THE HOUSTON ASTROS PLAYERS, COACHES, OWNERS, AND SUPERFANS WHAT NOW IS NEEDED FOR THE REST OF 2016!
Wednesday Morning, July 6, 2016. The Houston Astros are now only a half game back of the Boston Red Sox for the second AL Playoffs wild card spot and a mere 7.5 games back of the Texas Rangers for what should be a heated competition beyond the All Star Game and down the stretch in September head-to head for the AL West 2016 Divisional Crown. Is there time to get it done? Of course there is now. The Astros are six games over .500 on this date with 78 games on the schedule left to play. They simply have to win against the Rangers the way they’ve been winning lately against almost everybody else.
So far, the club is doing their part. The rest of it looks like a job for ASTROS SUPERFANS!
GO ASTROS! – IT’S TIME TO REALLY PUT SOME OF THAT “PIE TRAINING” DIRECTLY IN THE FACES OF THOSE “ARROGANT ARSES FROM ARLINGTON”!!!

Bill: A working air conditioning system in July and August would also help.

I was at last night’s game, it wasn’t even close to uncomfortable where I was sitting – we could be in Arlington after all…. Houston fans are so spoiled…..

AS A LIFELONG FAN OF THE ASTRO’S FROM HOLDING TICKETS FROM BEFORE THE DOME THRU ALL THE DOME YEARS, I SORT OF NATURALLY BECAME A RANGER FAN WHEN MOVING CLOSE TO DALLAS 4 YRS AGO.
ASTRO’S RECORD AGAINST RANGERS IS POOR AT BEST, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THAT COULD CHANGE. AS THEY SAY MAY THE BETTER TEAM WIN. BLAMING IT ON NO A/C IS WEAK.
HOWEVER, i DON’T CONSIDER MYSELF AN “ARROGANT FAN FROM ARLINGTON.”

Maybe it’s time to bring back “Break the Jinx Night” to invoke against the Rangers. In 1962, the expansion Houston Colt .45s lost their first 15 games to the Philadelphia Phillies.
In the final three-game homestand against their nemesis, Houston management resorted to the supernatural. They brought in Dr. Mesabubu, the fictitious witch doctor, to place a hex on the Phillies; as well as the real boxer, Kid Dugan, who used his stare to put a spell on the team; and finally Al Capp’s Joe Btfsplk, the world’s worst jinx, to put a double whammy on the Phillies’ pitcher.
The voodoo initially backfired since the Colt .45s lost the first two games, but won the final game and finished the season with a record of 1-17 against the Phillies.
Bill, I’m sure Mr. Harold Traynor would appreciate your punning reference to him in your photo caption.
