The article “Up Close on Baseball’s Borders” appears today in the April 24, 2014 edition of the New York Times. It’s written by by Tom Giratikanon, Josh Katz, David Leonhardt, and Kevin Quealy and it quickly stands as another example of how the Astros’ poor performances in recent years and their disastrous telecasting failure have contributed to the club losing a fan base that it once seemed to hold in the palm of its hand.
