Last Chance! Vote Today, Wed., August 21st, 2013, For George Springer as the USA Today Minor League Player of the Year!
I just found out about the deadline from Darrell Pittman or I would have written all of you earlier. Right now, Springer is nip and tuck behind a fellow named Archie Bradley, but a late campaign in Springer’s behalf is pushing him hard toward the top.
Vote for George and get your friends to vote for him too. Right now, Bradley has a 49% to 45% lead, but Springer is riding hard as we come to the stretch.
Let’s put him over the top. The Astros could use the win – and so could we fans.

After my voting about 40 minutes after receiving the notice Springer was at 50% so I’d say there was a good response to teh notice. However, there must be some hanging chad somewhere; Minnesota has 2 horses in this race, Sano and Buxton, and while they might cancel each other out to an extent one would expect their combined votes to be more or less equal to Bradley and Springer, but combined their total is less than 5%. Any chance the votes are being tallied in Florida?

Thanks to everyone who’s voted so far, but we’re not out of the woods yet. Springer’s leading 49-47% as I write this at 3:51 pm CDT. He had peaked at 51% just after lunchtime. Please, if you haven’t already done so, click the link above and cast your vote!
